Sleeping (or lack thereof) is an issue in the Olson house

Uggghhh. That pretty much sums up our last few days. We have our newborn that sleeps for maybe 3 hours at a time, and now Henry is becoming a challenge for napping and putting to bed! He has recently gained an independent streak and gets out of bed- a lot. We are running about a 50% success rate on naps and about 2 hours + of going to bed per night.
When Henry doesn't nap he gets soooo tired. This video is at dinner the other night and he can't even keep his eyes open. As you can tell he is also a bit emotional on lack of sleep. I'm hoping this phase is short and we can get our fun loving toddler back soon!!

Adventures with 2

Charlie and I were playing with the camera the other day, here he is at 5 weeks. And as a bonus he did me a solid by not peeing all over my nice blanket :)

We are slowly but surely venturing out and about and Charlie gets more predictable and our confidence grows. Most of our trips are not too exciting (Target and Sam's Club). But this week we went to one of Henry's favorite places, the zoo. Henry loves the monorail, Charlie could take it or leave it :)

1 month of Charlie!

We survived! Charlie is now a month old, and both of our children continue to be fed, cared for, and dressed (although we have had a couple pajama days). Charlie is getting bigger everday! Today we had to have an ultrasound of his hips to make sure he doesn't have hip dysplasia. We are hoping that he just likes to sit like a frog, and we will find out that nothing is wrong! Otherwise we are looking at a brace on a baby- and that sounds like not so much fun.

As with every 4 week old, we have good nights and fussy nights. Still overall he is a pretty laid back baby, loves his naps and when he is awake he is wide eyed and happy!

Unfortunately Charlie is already suffering the fate of the 2nd child because we didn't get a 3 week alligator shot :)

Henry is still going strong and is taking his brother in stride. He requested some hair gel and a hairdo yesterday and couldn't be happier with his 'spiked' look:

Helping in the kitchen is a new fascination, here he is helping daddy with the mixer:
