Henry's First Photo Shoot

Our friend/photographer Pat came over and took some shots of Henry for us. Here is the best of the best:

Henry actually held it together for almost the whole session, and amazingly the dogs cooperated for the family photo.

Henry's first full bath!

No more sponge baths for this kid, his umbilical cord fell off, and it's time for a full bath. He is not sold on this bathing idea.

Henry is 2 weeks old today. The pictures are Henry at 1 week, and then at 2 weeks old.

So far it's been quite the learning curve for Eric and myself. Henry had his days and nights mixed up for the first week, and he was not a happy camper during the nights. One of us was up with him around the clock for the first 9 days. He finally figured out that nights are meant for sleeping, and now it so much better!

The dogs are adjusting as well. Hazel is not happy with the noisy nights, and Hero gets really nervous when Henry cries. Otherwise about 5 times a day one of them will be sniffing him trying to lick his face. So far we've been pretty good about protecting the poor guy from too many licks.

Henry Thomas arrives December 4th 2009

Henry was born at 10:25 am via C-section. He was 9 lbs 3oz and 21" long.

Mostly just making sure I know how to do this site before the baby comes, but it's also cool that this turkey was treed in our yard by Hero. She chased 8-9 of them through the woods and this guy sat in the tree for a while before he flew away. Not sure if the picture could ever do justice to how big those things are.
